i'd have to say malyx's edge because of the furious mod and skin.

both look better for female warriors IMO

meh...furious is not very good imo... double adren 1/10 hits...bleh

and I like the unique look of forgotten better than malyx edge... even though its 1000 times harder to get.

obviously the best sword depends on opinion and play style...pick whatever you like to look at...and what has your favorite mod...

...before this turns into a mod face off again....

The whole purpose of this thread is a mod face off.. I could care less about the skin; both of them are a little iffy for me.

I'll take Furious over Sundering.

Don't forget about both of Grognar's swords as they are good.The best I would say is cruel then sundering fallowed by furiouse and cripple.Cruel is good for those deep wounds.

Please remember he's not asking whats better based on looks, he's asking whats better based on stats.

Cruel mod is useless on a warrior. Your target should be dying before the deep wound duration can run out.

Furious is generally going to be more useful than sundering.

This discussion is rediculous in my opinion... because it all depends on the build you are using....

If you go w/e with a conjure spell (also good to have on hand for fighting warriors and such) = definitely an elemental sword

If you have an adrenaline intensive build (10adren req skills) = furious

If you just want consistant damage and you dont mind swapping/healing = vamp (please no mending... :P )

If you want an all around no hassle mod which increases damage slightly = sundering

If you feel that the conditions you are using need to be extended = condition mod (although I would not recommend this one...your target should be dead before the extended time starts to kick in...on a cruel mod especially)

edit: forgot zealous....wonder why...oh yeah...never use it...except for solo FOW runs... kaolin sword ftw

firey/icy/shocking/ebon sword vs. warriors..

furious/sundering/vamp for everything else

zealous...eh, warriors shouldnt have energy problems

mallyx's edge is a nicer skin but i like sundering on swords and furious for axes..

forgotten sword..i absolutley hate it. its so tiny i could break it over my knee...but thats my opinion.

Zealous mod is by far my favourite dutch masterr

furious is meh - would be so cool if they made it a 20% chance because 10% sucks a bit...

vamp is as always awsome

elemental always good vs wars

and sundering I generally don't use - even though it's a fairly nice mod for easy going PvE lol...but I don't PvE that much

In case you were wondering about the stats

~~~~sundering/vamp ~~~~~~~~~
lets say we are attacking a 100 armour vs physical (80 vs ele) warrior and we hit him 5 times....with average base damage of 30 (consistant)
sundering= (1/5 hits with 20%) -15,-15,-15,-15,-21 = -81 damage
vamp= (always 3 damage) -18,-18,-18,-18,-18,= -90 damage
on a level 60 armour target (monk etc...)
sundering= (1/5 hits with 20%) -30,-30,-30,-30,-37 = -157 damage
vamp= (always 3 damage) -33,-33,-33,-33,-33,= -165 damage
~~~~elemental~~~~~~~

on the same warrior with an elemental weapon= -21,-21,-21,-21,-21,= 105 (greater than vamp and sunder)

~~~furious~~~~
1 out of 10 hits with your sword will give you 50pts instead of 25... NOT the same as a strike of adrn...
for a more detailed description of how adrn. works see this site
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Adrenaline
~~~~zealous~~~
9 seconds attacking at normal sword speed (1.33 sec)

with zealous mod= 1pip of energy (1pt /3sec) and 7 hits with the sword ....3e+ =10 energy gain

without = 2pips .....= 6 energy gain

~~~~cruel (other conditions as well)~~~~~
gash = 17 seconds of deep wound (12swdmnshp) without cruel mod.... 23 with cruel mod...
things to consider:
vamp: overall pretty good damage
ele: will do well against wars obviously but not other classes (combined with conjure spell for good damage)
sunder: its about chance...which means it could to more damage than above...or it could do less..
furious: also about chance...but only 10%..the overall gain is not impressive...needs a buff imho
cruel: 5 more seconds of deep wound? he should be dead within 17..so..meh
zealous: of course depends on build ...but usually wars arent energy intensive
vamp wins out on damage every time.... its just annoying to keep health up/switch weapons
If you did some testing on mods like I did you would find out that cruel is better for a good deep wound and furiouse is good to build up adrenaline or pump it up.Cruel though will give enough of a deep to be satisfactory and it is at 33%Sword mods CruelI have tested it in RA,TAand AB.I have used cruel on axes as well and it can pretty good and doing good deep wounds.
cruel is useless, if your target isn't dead during the regular duration of your deep wound you suck and a couple extra seconds isn't going to make you better.
